Amulette

Born from the desire to bring together art, design, and craftsmanship, Amulette is the creative practice of Annie Legault, who graduated with honors from a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Fibres and Textiles at Concordia University.

A passionate advocate of architecture, Annie defines herself as an atmosphere and textile designer. Through her creations, she seeks to shape spaces filled with warmth, light, and material poetry. Her lamp-sculptures and rugs reinterpret everyday objects with a unique sensitivity, transforming their primary function into a sensory experience.

Blending ancestral artisanal techniques with a distinctly contemporary vision, her work initially developed around the concept of protection. Each piece becomes a symbolic refuge, a gentle and enveloping presence that invites comfort.

Through their luminous textures, organic forms, and deeply human character, Amulette’s works aim to soothe the coldness that can sometimes darken our world. They celebrate the beauty of materials, the richness of the handcrafted gesture, and the power of objects to transform our relationship with space and daily life.
